‘Africa and us’ forms part of my existential and artistic trajectory, a moment of reflection on the meaning of life and the way to live…
In my works, abstract and figurative, painting and serigraphy are mixed on several types of base: paper, linen, acetate.
Africa with its roots of nature and syntony of colours, languages….
African sculpture and Picasso, Africa and jazz…
The African “fragilities” have brought about the history of the universal.
Without any kind of mediation, the visitor turns into a protagonist, observing or living the phenomenon.
The work in itself is not important but rather the act of ‘happening’; the object that is not there. Everyone is invited to a search for meaning, personal and free.
