Luca Pantina
bio
Luca Pantina is an Italian visual artist living and working between Andalusia (Spain) and Sicily (Italy). Born in the Madonie region, his practice unfolds across painting, sculpture, fine art printmaking, and installation through cycles and long-term projects that explore time, return, and the relationship with landscape.
His work is informed by an interest in meditation understood as an exercise in attention and presence — not as iconography, but as a working method. Slowness, repetition of gesture, and direct engagement with materials constitute the core of his research.
He holds a PhD in Fine Arts with International Mention from the Universidad de Sevilla, with a dissertation entitled “Art as a Form of Meditation.” He has also carried out academic research and teaching activities.
His works are included in private collections across Europe and Japan and in public collections such as the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo, Seville (Spain); the Fundación CIEC, Betanzos – La Coruña (Spain); the Museo della Biennale Internazionale per l’Incisione, Acqui Terme – Alessandria (Italy); the Fundación Museo de Artes del Grabado a la Estampa Digital, Ribeira – La Coruña (Spain); the Fondazione G. A. Borgese, Polizzi Generosa – Palermo (Italy); the Palazzo della Cultura, Catania (Italy); and ERSU Palermo, Palermo (Italy).
